Commercial Pilot
Daniel Weeks
My interest in aviation started when I was a kid flying with my Uncle and Dad, then was rekindled when working at Coronado Airport in Albuquerque as a lineman. While studying math and physics at UNM, I earned my private pilot license exchanging flight time for washing aircraft.
While working at Los Alamos National Lab, I commuted to work by airplane from Albuquerque and Santa Fe. During this time, I flew various aircraft including a Cessna 206 like Michael’s and attained my Commercial and Instrument ratings. I also flew the Skydive New Mexico Cessna 180 at Belen airport, and enjoyed watching many marvelous and adventurous folks diving out the passenger door at 15,000MSL.
Now at FlyTaosSky, I hope you will come fly with me and enjoy an adventure I’m sure you will never forget!
Scenic Tour Pilot
Kelly Grossetete
My name is Kelly Grossetetete. I have years of flying experience with just over 5,000 flight hours.
I grew up in New Mexico with a family of aviators. In 2005, I attended a pilot development program for Mesa Airlines. I received an A.S. degree in Aviation Technology and earned all my ratings there.
In 2006, I flew for Mesa Airlines. Beginning in 2010, I flew a Twin Otter for the next 5 years for a company doing camera development and animal survey work, flying low and slow like we do for the air tours. In 2016, I flew a Citation jet for a private charter company.
I have owned a 1957 Cessna 182, the little sister to the Cessna 206, for 17 years. I modified my plane for mountain and backcountry flying.
Since 2017, I have volunteered my time and airplane to LightHawk, a non-profit providing free flights for conservationists doing survey, photography and transporting endangered species.
In 2024, I started flying for Fly Taos Sky. I am excited and thrilled to be part of the amazing flying opportunity Michael has developed here in Taos.
I look forward to flying with you, your family and friends, sharing local history, geology and the beauty of our area. Please come see for yourself why New Mexico is called “The Land of Enchantment.”
